Are you all set for your first appointment at our office? Here's a quick rundown of what to expect and how we can make your experience enjoyable:
During your initial visit, we’ll begin with a conversation about what is important to you in regards to your oral health and how we can help you achieve your specific dental goals. This will help us tailor a treatment plan for your specific situation while also addressing your main concerns.
We believe clear communication up front is vitally important to our ongoing dentist/patient relationship.
After completing a thorough medical history review, we will begin collecting records and diagnostics. This information will allow us to accurately assess the health of your teeth and gums, identify any issues, and develop a treatment plan to tackle them. These diagnostic images include a 3D CBCT as well as a few other x-rays to get a comprehensive view of any potential issues such as cavities, abscesses, or bone loss.
One thing we do in our practice that you might not be used to is digital photography. We believe this is the single best way for you to see exactly what it is that we see and help you understand why we are recommending certain treatment options.
From there we will complete a comprehensive oral exam that will include a detailed analysis of existing restorations, overall tooth and gum tissue health, evaluation of your bite, as well as an oral cancer screening.
After the examination, and based on the findings, we will recommend either a normal tooth cleaning or a more in-depth cleaning. In either case, the ultimate goal is to remove accumulated plaque and tartar from your teeth to prevent cavities and gum disease.
Once we have all the information needed, we can then develop a customized treatment plan and timeline for your specific situation while keeping your individual goals in mind.
If the thought of dental procedures makes you anxious or you would like to get all your dental treatment completed in a single visit, oral sedation may be a great option to consider. This can help you relax and feel more comfortable during your visit, as well as make longer appointments feel quick and easy.
Our office is equipped with amenities like comfortable chairs and TVs to make your time with us as enjoyable and stress-free as possible.
In addition to creating a relaxing environment, we use oral scanners and 3D imaging capabilities to perform many procedures on-site, saving you time and money while ensuring the highest level of precision.
